Sadly, we lost another classmate, Dave Dine.  He passed in June of 2023 and Paul emailed myself and Tom about his passing. Below is the information I retrieved on his obituary site.

David John Dine, age 75, passed away on Friday evening, June 2, 2023, at Brian's House following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. The son of the late John F. and Lorretta J. (Youngblood) Dine was born on December 6, 1947, in Detroit. Dave earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Detroit. He and his family moved to Bay City in 1986. A skilled woodworker, Dave was well known in the area for his excellent cabinetry and carpentry skills and had contributed his talents to the U.S.S. Edson. He was an avid movie fan, enjoyed his model trains and could always be found working on a word search puzzle. Dave was an active member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish where he served as an usher, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #414. He truly cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On August 10, 1973, Dave was united in marriage to Janet L. Nadolny. Janet survives his passing along with their six children, Michael (Anne Marie) Dine, Christine Dine, Stephen (Ashleigh) Dine, Matthew (Cheryl) Dine, Susan Dine and Cheryl (Bryant) LaBonville; nine grandchildren, Brendan, Adriana and Brielle Dine, Lilly Grace and Isaac Dine, Landon and Emerson Dine, and Madison and Teagan LaBonville; his twin brother, Donald Dine; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Dave was also preceded in death by a brother, James Dine, his sister, Virginia Snyder, and an infant brother, Thomas.
